More Space Without the Hassle of Moving

The Catawba County housing market has made it clear: finding a bigger home in the area you love, at a price that makes sense, is harder than ever. Between rising prices, limited inventory, and the cost of selling and buying, many families are discovering that building an addition is more practical and more affordable than relocating.

But a home addition is serious construction. It involves foundation work, structural tie-ins to your existing home, roofline integration, and matching siding, trim, and finishes so the new space looks like it was always part of the house — not bolted on as an afterthought. This requires a licensed general contractor who understands residential building codes, structural engineering, and the permit process.

As a licensed NC general contractor (#107176), Jeff Weeks manages every phase of your addition from design through final inspection. We coordinate all trades — foundation, framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and finish work — so you have one point of contact and one company accountable for the entire project.

How It Works

Our Process

1

Planning & Feasibility

We meet at your home to discuss what you need — extra bedroom, expanded kitchen, family room, home office — and evaluate the feasibility. We consider your lot's setback requirements, zoning restrictions, existing foundation and framing, and how the addition will tie into your home's roofline and systems.

2

Design & Permitting

We work with you (and an architect if needed) to develop plans that meet your needs and comply with local building codes. We handle all permit applications, engineering requirements, and utility coordination. You'll receive a comprehensive contract with a detailed scope and fixed pricing.

3

Construction

From breaking ground on the foundation to setting the final trim piece, our crew and subcontractors work through each phase systematically. We schedule all required inspections and keep you informed throughout the process. We take care to minimize disruption to your daily life during construction.

4

Completion & Final Inspection

Once all work is complete and the final building inspection is passed, we do a thorough walkthrough with you. We address any punch list items on the spot and make sure the new space is exactly what you envisioned — finished, functional, and ready to use.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Home additions typically range from $150 to $300+ per square foot depending on the complexity and finish level. A basic room addition might start around $40,000–$60,000, while a fully finished master suite or kitchen expansion can run $80,000–$150,000 or more. Every project is different, and we provide detailed estimates after evaluating your specific situation.
Most home additions take 2 to 4 months from groundbreaking to completion, depending on size and complexity. The design, engineering, and permitting phase adds 4 to 8 weeks before construction starts. We provide a realistic timeline in your proposal and keep you updated on progress throughout the build.
This is one of our top priorities. We source matching or complementary siding, roofing, trim, and finishes so the addition integrates seamlessly with your existing home. A well-executed addition should look like it was part of the original construction, and we take the time to get the details right — from roofline pitch to brick coursing.
In most cases, no. We plan the work to minimize disruption, and the construction zone is separated from your living space as much as possible. There may be brief periods of noise, dust, or limited access to certain areas, but most families stay in their homes throughout the project. We'll discuss this during the planning phase.
Yes. As a licensed general contractor, we manage all subcontractors including electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, roofers, and finish tradespeople. You deal with one company and one project manager — Jeff Weeks — instead of trying to coordinate multiple contractors yourself.

What Our Clients Say

Additions Reviews

We had Jeff add a bedroom and bathroom onto our home for my mother-in-law. He managed every subcontractor, kept the project on schedule, and the addition blends in so well you can't tell where the old house ends and the new part begins. Jeff communicated with us throughout the whole process. He's the real deal.
